This issue includes:
- Meeting Schedule: Town Council meets the second Thursday monthly (7:00 PM March–October; 6:30 PM November–February). Planning & Zoning meets the last Thursday monthly, with November 19 and December 17 as exceptions.
- Winter Water Prep: Advice for residents on preventing frozen pipes and flooding, including installing a shut-off ball valve outside the meter. Contact info provided for Public Works Supervisor Dustin Oyler, plus a link to the current water quality report. Note that the town is updating water meter reading equipment (replacing outdated radios).
- Apple Days Thank You: Appreciation extended to volunteers, businesses, sponsors, vendors, parade participants, and musicians who made the event a success.
- Beautification Committee Shoutout: Thanks to committee members (Colleen Dudleston, Paula Pace, Shari Clark, Renee Reel) for the potted flowers around Main Street, the post office, town office, and pavilion.
- Planning & Zoning Explainer: Clarifies how the General Plan and Town Ordinances govern development, the P&Z Commission's role in drafting amendments, and how residents can get involved during the public input/drafting stage before rules become law.
- Annexation Notice: Formal notice of Ordinance No. 2026-08-13, annexing the "River Drive West Addition" (~16.65 acres) into Torrey Town; maps available at the town office.
- Mayor's Project Updates: Brief highlights on code enforcement (targeting September completion), the Torrey Operations policy manual project, water ordinance coordination with the town attorney, the Capital Improvement Plan (water acquisition, road improvement, town hall), and the Sand Creek Bridge replacement project funded through Congressional Project Funding (credit to Congresswoman Maloy's office), in partnership with Ensign Engineering.
