Michael "Mickey" Wright

Michael "Mickey" Wright and his wife Susan first discovered Torrey in 1988, built their home in 2013, and have lived here full-time since 2018. Originally from Lamar, Colorado, Mickey spent his career as a software engineer along the Wasatch Front and co-founded two cybersecurity companies. Now serving his second term as Mayor, he is passionate about preserving Torrey’s history, natural beauty, and strong sense of community. Mickey enjoys hiking, exploring, astronomy, and studying physics, math, and American history. He and Susan have been married for 40 years and recently welcomed Lucas, their playful dog who loves life in Torrey.
